Austin L. Brooks founded Brooks Family Funeral Home February 1, 2011. He has been in the funeral industry for over 30 years and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a past President of the Alabama Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, past Chairman of the Board of the Alabama Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, member of the National Conference of Funeral Service Examining Board, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner by the Academy of Professional Funeal Service Practice, INC., Certified Crematory Operator by the National Funeral Directors Association, member of the Hueytown Chamber of Commerce and a certified and bonded notary public.

Corine Brooks

Funeral Attendant

Mrs. Corine Brooks is a funeral attendant. She is the mother of Austin Brooks and Felecia Brooks-Jones. She also has other children, Rev. Manasseh (Felita) Hawkins, Marcus Hawkins, Carlton (Sonja) Brooks and Minister Stephen (Rose) Brooks. She is also the grandmother to Austin Conner Brooks and Dallas Brooks. She has many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. She is also the former wife of the late Rev. L.B. Brooks and is a faithful member of St. John A.M.E. Church in Birmingham.

Dallas is a 11th  Grade student at Pleasant Grove High School and has maintained an a/b average since 1st grade. She enjoys talking on her cell phone, swimming, shopping, playing softball and ice skating.

Austin Conner Brooks

Future Funeral Director & Embalmer

Austin Conner is a 7th grade student at Pleasant Grove  Interbaculaurate School and has maintained an a/b average since the 1st grade. He is also a member of the National Elementary Honor Society. He enjoys swimming, playing WWE on his Xbox 360, riding his bike and hanging out with his daddy.

Dr. Felecia Brooks-Jones

Apprentice Funeral Director

Dr. Felecia Brooks-Jones is a licensed apprentice funeral director and Vice President of Brooks Family. She currently holds five degrees and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she is a professor. She also teaches third grade at Huffman Academy in Roebuck.

Jerrica Jones

Funeral Attendant

Jerrica is the niece and god-daughter of Mr. Austin Brooks. She is a graduate of U.A.B. in Birmingham with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. She loves Alabama Football and good food.

Jerry is a master electrician and is employed with the city of Birmingham as an Electrical Inspector. He is  the husband to Felecia Brooks Jones and the father of Jerrica Jones. They also have two other children, Josh and Jeremiah Jones

Rhett is a graduate of Bessemer Academy High School and is graduate of Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service where he studied Funeral Service Education where he received an Associates Degree in Applied Science.

Randi is a cosmetologist and hair stylist and is a graduate of Jefferson State Community College with an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service Education. She is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and certified crematory operator.

Katrice Snell

Katrice is a native of Ozark, Alabama and is currently studying Funeral Service Education at Jefferson State Community College. She is also certified as a eyelash technician and teeth whitener.
