Branden Deon Moss

Branden Deon Moss was born to Jeffrey Moss and Dorothy Ragland on September 24, 1993 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a native of Brighton, Alabama. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at the Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Sterling Pipkens. Later, Branden relocated to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he joined the Oasis Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jeffrey Thompson and was rebaptized. Branden graduated from Hillcrest High School (Tuscaloosa, AL) where he played his favorite sport, which was football. He then attended the University of West Alabama and transferred to Shelton State Community College. After completing his studies at Shelton State he enrolled at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa where he was an avid Alabama Fan, "ROLL TIDE!' In 2012 he met his beautiful fiancé, Desiree' Parker. These two brought a blessing into the world, their beautiful daughter, Delilah Grace Moss. Branden departed this life on May 7, 2017. Branden is preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma Jean & John Moss; great-grandmother, Leatha Nix; uncles, Charles Nix Jr. and  Talmadge Lindsey; and a beloved godmother, Lorett Franklin. Branden leaves his love to be cherished by his loving mother, Dorothy Ragland; Father, Jeffrey Moss; Step-father, Darick Ragland; Siblings, Dkoleman Harris, LaDarrius Ragland and Brittany Armstead; fiance', Desiree' Parker and one beautiful daughter, Delilah Grace Moss; Grandparents, Charles (Juanita) Nix and Betty Nixon.;  god-father, Rodney Franklin Sr.; god brothers, Rodney, Jr. (Bernita) & Rhett Franklin and Andrew (Kristen) Wilson; god-niece, Anya Wilson; god-grandmother, Mable Washington; Special Friends, Tim (Bria) Anderson, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Shiloh Baptist Church of Brighton with burial to follow at the Highland Memorial Gardens. He will lie in repose at the church two hours before the service starts. Visitation is on Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. with a family hour from 6 to 7.
