Frederick Jones III Obituary

Frederick Sheppard Jones, III, known to family and friends as ‘Shep’, passed away at his home on the evening of July 14, 2018, at the age of 65. He was a builder and avid hunter who owned his own construction business for many years, hunted throughout Alabama, and guided moose hunts in Alaska. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend to many. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darci, children Joshua (Lisa) and Camden, brothers and sisters Allen (Bob), Alma (Carlton), Minette (Scott) and Quentin, as well as step-children Emily and Adam Taylor, and multiple nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Mino Ratliff Jones and Frederick Sheppard Jones, Jr. A memorial service in honor of Shep will be held Saturday, August 25 from 3pm – 4pm at Steeple Arts Academy of Dance, 36 Church Street, Mountain Brook, Alabama. A visitation will follow the service.
