Brother John James Sr. was born October 1, 1935 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Allen James and the late Margaret Walker-James. He started his Christian walk at an early age and later joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Pratt City under the leadership of Pastor Quinton E. Hammonds. After many years of service, John retired as a Pipe Identifier at Mc Wane International.
Brother John James Sr. was a loving father and husband. He had a smile for everyone that he came in contact with. He never complained. He was a hard worker and faithful husband with a giving heart.
He was preceded in death by a loving and faithful wife, Ethel W. James and daughter, Laura F. Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Pauletta (Duane) Holiday of Birmingham, Alabama, Juanita (Willie) Cox of Birmingham, Alabama, Jacqueline (Thomas) Smith of Birmingham, Alabama and one son, John (Cassandra) James Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama,
