Ludie was born to Walter Saulsberry and Willie Sanders on Jan. 7, 1925 in Forkland, AL. She was number 8 of 9 children. She attended Public Schools in Forkland. She met and fell in love with Johnny Williams. They married and were blessed with 9 children. She was an excellent cook and she welcomed family and friends to her home. She kept her family close and lovingly cared for them. She loved quilting, embroidering, and sewing. She had a strong love and respect for God and passed this on to her children.Her faith in Jehovah God and his son, Jesus Christ, grew stronger over the years by reading and studying the Bible. She prayed regularly to Jehovah. She had a kind and loving spirit. All including her nurses could see how sweet she was. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Williams and two sons, Johnnie and Theosia. She leaves to cherish her memory: children , Nettie, Houston (Marianna), Henry, Willie Mae (Layton), Rodger (Karen), Gwendolyn (David), and James (Alice); Stepdaughter, Domineka; and a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, including a special loving cousin, Diane Long, and many friends. They were all special to her.
