Rosa Lee Harris was born June 27, 1951 to the late James and Hattie Mae Radford King. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at St. Joseph Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama. “Mother Harris” was an active member of Christ Ministry Deliverance Church (until her health declined), under the leadership of Apostle Bobbie J. McGuire. Rosa was a product of Birmingham City Schools and later received her Associate’s Degree from Lawson State Community College. Shortly after receiving her degree, she became employed with Jefferson County at Cooper Green Hospital. She served as a dietary aid, cook, and eventually supervisor, a position she held until her retirement in 2011. Rosa was a devoted woman of God who enjoyed serving others and she especially took pleasure in sharing her love for cooking. She faithfully served her family, friends, church, and anyone who needed a helping hand. On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Rosa was surrounded by a host of loved ones when God called his angel home.
