Thelma Long

Thelma was born in Birmingham, AL. to Thomas and Johnnie B. Long on Dec. 13, 1942. She attended Council Elementary School and Western-Olin High School. Later she graduated from Lawson State Community College and then from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor's degree. She joined the family of Christ about 38 years ago. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lavern Long and Jacquetta Fells and a granddaughter, Tarnisha Fells. She leaves to mourn her passing. her children. Marilyn Long, Roderick (Constance) Long and Carla Long; Grandchildren , Tamica (Curtis) Talley, Herman, Britney, Kielan, Jarrod, Aneisha, Trai and Thomas; Great-Grandchildren, Cierra, Kurtilious, Ky'Tera, Khy'Ahn, Jatrice, Kierra, Bishop, Zahnovi, Rai'Lyn, Caiden and Ja'Leyah; Great-Great-Grandson, Kaiden; Siblings, Thomas Long, Carolyn (Robert) Mixon, and Shirley (David) Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
