Bernard “Big B” Price was born on September 27, 1947 in Birmingham, AL to the late Walter Lee Taylor and Doris P. Espy. He was baptized and professed christ at an early age at Metropolitan CME Church. Later, he joined Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor. W.M Norwood where he was an active member of the choir. He was educated in the Birmingham City Schools system where he graduated high school from Western Olin in 1967. Upon completion of grade school, he went to join the United States Armed Forces where he served from 1967 - 1974. During his tenure in the army he achieved several rankings such as, Vietnam Veteran, 1st Air Cab Calvary, and Division 5th Battalion from 1967-1968. After serving in the armed forces, Bernard worked in the Social Security Administration for 8 years and later transferred to work in Veterans Affairs until he retired in 1996. Bernard was a fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend of many.
Bernard entered into enteral rest on June 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Water Lee Taylor and Doris P. Espy; sister, Kedra Taylor; Son; Eric J. Jackson He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy his loving survivors: Wife, Evora Price; Children; Chiquita Price and Bernita (Rodney Jr) Franklin, Siblings; Charlene Taylor Watkins of Charlotte, NC , Wanda Ann Perry of Birmingham, AL , Mark Taylor, Sheila Taylor, and Todd Taylor all of Buffalo, NY. Uncle, Grailor Price; grandchildren; Antonio Price Sr. and Rodney Franklin III, great-grandchild; Antonio Price Jr. Special Cousin; Alesa Grove of Flossmoore, IL, extended families Lee and Harris families. a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
