Elizabeth was born to the late Willie Lewis and the late JoHelen Childers in Brooklyn, NY. In 1973, Elizabeth, her mother and siblings moved to Birmingham, Alabama. She matriculated through the Birmingham City School System. She later graduated from Jefferson State Community College with a degree in Secretarial Science. She had various jobs she was fond of but none were like her favorite, the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She always spoke kindly of her coworkers, supervisors, and managers. She was a past member of South Elyton Baptist Church where she would always state the Lord was dealing in her spirit with a deeper walk. She later joined West End Purity Holiness Church under the tutelage of the late Bishop James Graves. On February 2, 2020, Elizabeth joined the Grace and Mercy House Ministries where she loved her pastor, his wife and church family. She was a woman of God who loved God's word and she studied constantly to show herself approved unto God; a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. She was an excellent and astounding Sunday school teacher and a giver financially or of kind words. During her prayer time, she would always mention, "God Bless All Humanity.' She was a woman concerned about those who didn't know the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lewis and her mother, JoHelen Childers. Left to cherish her memories is her son, Kenneth Childers; Brothers: Tyrone (Tahesia) Childers, Donnie (Ebonie) Childers, Ronnie Childers and Richard Bryant, all of Livingston, AL.; Sisters: Lynett Childers and Lawanda (Elder Thomas) Lewis of Niagara Falls, NY.; Granddaughter, Amari Childers, Pinson, AL.; Nieces: Gabriel Childers, Niagara Falls and Brenda Childers, Birmingham, AL.; A nephew, Cotezz Childers; and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
