Evora (Woods) Price

Evora Woods Price was born on March 18, 1951 to the late George Woods Jr and Pearlie L.  Woods in Tuskegee, Alabama. She confessed to Christ at an early age at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership Rev. E. E. Sinclair. Evora graduated from Tuskegee Institute High School in 1970, upon graduating high school, Evora attended Booker T. Washington Business College and in 1972 she graduated receiving her Associates Degree in Business Administration. After completing college, Evora met the love of her life, the late Mr. Bernard Price. The two became one and joined in holy matrimony on July 11, 1973, unto this union two beautiful baby girls were born, Chiquita and Bernita. Evora attended Metropolitan C.M.E Church and later moved her church membership to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev Dr. W.M. Norwood, where she was a very active member. Also, she worked in the Birmingham City School system for 29 years until her retirement. Evora was a loving, caring, and meek person. She was an amazing cook and fed the neighborhood. She was known for baking, especially her delicious red velvet cakes. Evora transitioned from this earthly life on August 11, 2021.
 
Evora was preceded in death by her late husband; Bernard Price, parents; George Woods Jr. and Pearlie L. Woods, and brother; Jarvis Woods. Evora leaves to cherish her memories: loving daughters; Chiquita Price and Bernita (Rodney Jr.) Price-Franklin all of Birmingham, AL. Siblings; Ludie (Mary) Woods of Gary, IN, Christina (Nolan) Robinson of Birmingham, AL, Edna (Morris) Tyson of Tuskegee, AL, Cornelius Woods of Selma, AL,  and Harriette Woods of Tuskegee, AL. Grandchildren; Antonio Price Sr. and Rodney Franklin III. Great-Grandchild; Antonio Price Jr. Honorary Son; Andre J. Bragg Sr. Special Cousin, Omar H. Wagner. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Extended Families include but are not limited to Charles,  Lee, Harris, King, Pierce, and Elston.
