Jacob Warren Knight passed on Friday, October 13th surrounded by the love of his parents, brothers, and sisters in law. Jacob was born in 1985 to Warren and Deanna Knight. He was a lifelong resident of Alabaster, Alabama. During his high school years, Jacob enjoyed marching band at Thompson High School and geeking out to all things nerdy with classmates that became lifelong friends. He was an avid online gamer, enjoying everything from online multiplayer adventure games to small group role playing games. He loved sci-fi and fantasy literature and movies. He was typically on the ground floor of interest before it was made popular by mass media. As an adult, Jacob served the greater Birmingham area through customer services roles where he enjoyed meeting and interacting with the public. He was his happiest when spending time with his four nieces. Jacob is survived by his parents, Warren and Deanna Knight, his brothers, Jeffrey (Valerie) Knight, Jarrod (Mariel) Knight, his nieces, Patty, Laney, Cathleen, and Lilly, and great uncles Robert and Vasteen Burnette. Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate the life of Jacob Knight. We will gather together at New Salem Baptist Church, 11145 Co. Rd. 29, Clanton, AL 35045, on Sunday, October 29th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to remember our wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. In honor of Jacob, we will be creating a memory table for the service. Feel free to bring pictures or items that remind you of Jacob that you wish to share with his family and friends. As Jacob himself would have preferred, casual attire is welcome for the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jacob’s name to UAB Comprehensive Transplant Institute, Autism Science Foundation, or a charity of your choice
