Joshua Lee Bridges

Joshua Lee Bridges (Josh) was born on October 16, 1989 to Margie Ellen Bridges and the late Henry Lee Hawkins, Jr. (Buttercup). Josh was born at Baptist Princeton Hospital.

Joshua was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama. He was currently attending Rebirth Christian Fellowship Center. At times he would attend church at First Baptist Kingston, Birmingham, AL., along with his mother.

Joshua loved his mother and spending time with his nieces India and Ayanna. He also liked college and pro football and basketball games. One of his closest friends was his dog Maxwell (Max).

Joshua graduated from Huffman High School in 2009 and attended Jefferson State Community College. He was employed in the construction business. Josh was a hard worker and a very intelligent, hands-on worker. 

Joshua is preceded in death by his dear brother, Ryan Martez Bridges; his father, Henry Lee Hawkins, Jr.; his grandparents, Daisy and Henry Lee Bridges and Ruby and Henry Lee Hawkins, Sr.; and two aunts, Diane Bridges and Janet Moore.

He leaves to mourn his loving mother, Margie Bridges; Nieces, India Bridges Stallworth, Huntsville, AL. and Ayanna Bingmon, Pinson, AL.; Sister, Jasmine Hawkins, Birmingham, AL.; Brothers: Adrian Woods, Birmingham, AL. and Rashad Green, Hanceville, AL.; and a host of aunts, special cousins and friends. Joshua will be dearly missed by several including family, friends, co-workers, and employers. Joshua had a bright personality and was liked by so many people.
