Kenadie Danielle Dowdell-Smiley entered
eternal rest on March 18th, 2024 in Birmingham
AL, surrounded by family.
Kenadie affectionately known as "Skenie was
born on September 8th, 2006 at UAB Hospital in
Birmingham, Alabama to Jesseca Smiley and
Louie Dowdell. At birth Kenadie was given a
diagnosis of cerebral palsy. Her family was told
she would never be able to sit-up, crawl or walk.
Kenadie was not the type of girl that took the
word "NO" for an answer. As a matter of fact
years later she chose " This Girl Is On Fire" by
Alicia Keys as one of her favorite songs for which
she would sing loud and proud.
Kenadie defied all odds throughout her life and
though it was short-lived Kenadie shined a light
of love and laughter on all that she came in touch
with. She was smart, funny and the absolute life
of the party. Her presence will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories with
her parents Jesseca Smiley and Louie Dowdell,
her best friend and twin sister Makenzie
