Mr. Lamar Holman, blessed this earth on June 9, 1947. He was the second eldest of four. Being born and raised during a time of racial turmoil in this country, he eagerly participated in the Birmingham Civil Rights Movement as a teen and later was drafted into the United States Army during Vietnam. He was well known to his adopted grandchildren of Shanan Home Daycare as Paw Paw. He departed this life Oct. 27, 2022. Family members preceding him in death are mother Mary Prince Holman, father Lamar Griswald, wife of 39 years Joyce Marie Roberson Holman, sister Patricia Craig, and sister Sally M Flood. Lamar leaves to cherish his memory: Wife Audrey Morgan, three daughters, Yolanda Holman, Kenda Holman, and Carita Holman of Birmingham, AL; step- daughter Shandrel Daniels ; brother Willie (Caroline) Holman of Atlanta Georgia and host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, friends, and loved ones.
