Minister Wilma James

Minister Wilma James was born July 1,1943 in Flat Creek, Alabama to Nathaniel, Sr. and Mary Hawkins. She married her longtime friend and love Edward James, Sr. In 1960. She was a Godly woman who believed ln the Lord and served faithfully. She was an obedient member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church for 20+ years where she also served as an ordained minister. 

In the union with Edward James, Sr., Wilma James gave birth to 7 amazing children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Knowing that she always spoke her mind, she was loved by all. She was the epitome of style and grace, with her large collection of hats and classic lipsticks. She loved helping people as much a she could whether it was cooking 

a Sunday dinner and inviting family over or donating her time and service to the church or community. Waiting to welcome her into heaven are her parents, Mary and Nathaniel Hawkins, Sr.; Her beloved Husband, Edward James, Sr.; Her two only daughters, Sylvia James, and Kerry James; 7 brothers and 2 sisters. 

She leaves to carry on her legacy, her 5 sons: Edward James, Jr.,  Carl (Jan) James, Jeffrey James, Richard James and Antwon (Tiere) James; Grandchildren, Clarence James, LeaOndra (Shae) James. Sherrod James, Kamarra (Royce) Obiri, Octavia James, Mercedes James, Daejon Harriston, Dazjah James, Davon James, Rajah James, Ta'my'jauan James, Cheznl James, Aiden James, Jeremy Moore, Imani Perry and Shanice James; Siblings, Curtis Joe (Deborah) Hawkins, William (Annette) Hawkins, Mary Grace Hawkins, Corine Brooks. Augusta Jones and Myrtle Hawkins; and a host of other Great grandchildren family and friends. 

Wllma James was a Beautiful Soul. She will be forever loved and truly missed.
