Nelda Jean Thomas Williams

Nelda Jean Thomas Williams was born to the late John Henry Thomas, Sr. and Sadie Parham Thomas on July 2, 1932, in Ralph, AL. She was a church member at St. Paul AME in Fairfield, AL. She attended Westfield School System and Lawson State Community College where she received her license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was united in holy matrimony to Leconie Williams. This union was blessed with 5 children: Leconie, Myrna, Tammy, Tawanna, and Byron Willaims. She peacefully departed her life on November 12, 2022, at Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover. She was preceded in death by her husband Leconie Williams: siblings, Itzbue, John Thomas, Jr., Bertha Ingram, Minnie Scott, Mary Hughes, Ernestine Gilchrist, Barbara Lloyd, and Shirley Washington; grandsons: Larry Brown Jr., and Antoine Williams. Her life will forever be remembered and cherished in the lives of her children:Myrna Brown, Tammy Williams Arrington (Michael), Tawanna Fortson, and Byron Williams; brother, Flozell (Zeola) Thomas ,Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren: Leconie Williams, IV.,  Deketa (Charles) Brewer, Jennifer Brown, Brian Williams, Mario Brown, Benjamin Givens, Jr., Jessica Givins, Ashley Givens, Kayla Givins, Brandon Williams and Joshua Fortson; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Hosea ,Birmingham, AL,  and Clara Anthony Union Springs, AL.;  3 brothers-in-law:  John Williams, Birmingham, AL.,  Jimmie Williams, Eufaula, AL.  and Earnest Williams Riverdale, AL.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
