Reginald Lakale Franklin

Reginald Lakale Franklin was born to the late Mitchell Ottison and Betty Lou Franklin on November 23, 1961. Reginald grew up in the Sherman Heights neighborhood of Ensley, Alabama. He confessed to Christ at an early age at Morning Star Baptist Church in Sherman Heights under the leadership of Rev. Perryman.

 Reginald was educated in the Birmingham City School system, becoming a graduate of Parker High School in 1980. Upon completion of high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy for 4 years until he returned home to Birmingham in 1985. Reginald worked for the University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital until his health began to decline. Reginald made his earthly transition on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Reginald is proceeded in death by his father, Mitchell Ottison; Mother, Betty Lou Franklin; Grandmother, Dolly Franklin Lane; Aunt, Priscilla Lane; Uncle, Willie Lane; Sister in Law, Lorett Franklin, and Nephew, Brett Franklin.

His loving survivors are his children, LaDarius and Nakia Turnbo; brother, Rodney (Cheryl) Franklin Sr.; Nephews, Rodney Jr. (Bernita) and Rhett Franklin; Uncles: Elbert, Jackie, and Jessie Lane; Aunt, Cassandra Lane; special cousins, Daniel (Lizzie) and LaShundra Lane, and a host of other relatives and friends.
