Obituary

Unjanetta, was born May 23, 1969, in Birmingham, to proud parents, Ronald Jeffrey Johnson & Antionette Delores Peoples- Washington.  She is one of nine children, which included, Charles, Jr., Dwight Jr., Roscoe II, Lasima, Ronnetta, Mario, Martine, Dujuan and Kendra. She was baptized at a young age at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church   Unjanetta attended Wilkerson Middle School, Holy Family High School and graduated from John Carroll High School in 1987.  After graduation she attended Lawson State Community College and received an Associate Degree in Accounting. She met the love of her life Eric D. King in 1990 and they were married on June 26, 2008. Although they were opposites, they loved each other dearly. She worked as an Accounting Assistance for Adamson Ford for eight years, PEAC Post-Secondary Education Assistance Corporation for ten years and American Home Video for eight years, she was also a Tax Preparer and a Notary Republic.  Unjanetta was a woman who loved life, her family and people.  She was outgoing, kind, friendly, and independent. She loved to talk, very direct and you didn’t have to guess where she stood on issues or life because she spoke her mind.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Walk for Lupus Group. Unjanetta departed this life on Monday night, January 11, 2021, surrounded by her husband Eric, son Rashad and sister Ronnetta.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Sheehy Jr., her step father, Charles Washington, her grandparents: Benjamin & Ola Henderson, Jarvis Edward, John & Laura Johnson, Great-grandmother, Irene Floyd, Mother-in-law, Rose Harris and Step Mother, Minnie Pearl Johnson, special uncle, Benjamin Henderson Jr. and aunt Barbara Henderson. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 13 years, Eric Dewayne King, her beloved son, Rashad Bell, son Tavaris King, daughter, DeErica King and her Shih Tzu “Kush King”, her grandchildren: Rashad Bell, Jr., Jonathan Peterson, Aaleyah Bell and Kylie Bell.  Her mother Antionette Delores Peoples-Washington, her Father, Ronald Jeffrey Johnson; her siblings Charles Washington, Jr. ( Norlani), Roscoe Sheehy II ( Lisa), Lasima Duncan (James), Ronnetta Stump (John), Mario Sheehy (Demetric), Martine Johnson, Dujuan Johnson (Shawn) and Kendra Johnson.  Her Father-in-law, Henri Harris, Sister-in-laws: LaVonda Heard (Edward) and Erica Harris.  Her very Special Friends, Brenda Cumbie, Chantay Lee Adaya, Stella Hawk, LaShandra Lewis, Tony Butler and Patrick Terry; 20 nieces and nephews and 1 grandniece and other relatives and friends
