Walter Jones, Jr.

Walter "Mane" Jones Jr was born to the late Mr.Walter Jones Sr and Marjorie Jones on February 14, 1953. He attended Western-Olin High School and later joined the U.S. Army .

Walter confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev.U.L. Thrash at First Baptist Church West-Ensley. He later became a member of Greater Works Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Willie Peake.

Walter was married to Dorothy Brown in which two beautiful children came from this union.

Walter was known to be a loving, caring and giving person. He had a magnetic personality that was known to lighten any room and mood. He tr, Walteruly loved his family and friends.

Walter was employed at V A Hospital and was a career veteran where he was well-respected and loved. There he made and treasured the friendships of those he met.

He was preceded in death by: his Father Walter Jones Sr; mother, Marjorie Jones; two sisters, Rebecca Lynn and Linda Allen

He leaves to cherish his legacy and memories thru his children: son, Ferlanzo(Stacy) Jones of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Wakneco(Jason) Pennywell of Birmingham, AL; brother, Andre Jones of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Marilyn Jones, Debra Jones, Valerie Jones and Sernaylia Pickens all from Birmingham, AL; a special uncle, Willie Johnson of Birmingham, AL
